Numbrrrz was born from a moment all moms can relate to — searching for something gentle and safe enough to use on myself and my daughter, Gibby.
About nine years ago, I was gifted a 3-pack of oversized skincare sticks — one was an SPF stick, one was a balm, and the third… I honestly don’t even remember what it was, because I never used it.
- But that balm? I fell in love.
It was soothing, healing, and lasted forever. I used it religiously as a lip balm — even though it wasn’t technically marketed that way. When it was discontinued, I was devastated. I tracked down every last one I could find and carried the empty tubes around for years, hoping to recreate it someday.
At first, it was just for me… and a few friends who were equally obsessed. But eventually, that quiet obsession turned into something much bigger.
The Dirty Truth About Most Lip Balms
Big-name brands are full of ingredients I didn’t want anywhere near my daughter’s skin:

I didn’t leave a steady career on a whim. This was years in the making.

Eventually, I took the leap. I quit my job to build something better:

One of the biggest surprises during formulation? Even when you’re trying to be as clean as possible, seed oils can sneak into a formula — usually through “flavor” carriers.
Many lip balms use the word “flavor” as a legal catch-all. It sounds harmless, but behind that one word is often a carrier oil like sunflower or soy — both of which are seed oils. Unless you ask very specific questions, you’d never know it’s there.
